When students are not at school, they are not learning, not connecting, or building their social skills to make friends and build relationships. Students absent 2 days per month, for any reason, are considered chronically absent. Research shows absent students fall behind and have a difficult time catching up with their peers.

To report an absence please contact our Attendance Office directly at (916) 395-5340 or fill out our absence form online at https://fernbacon.scusd.edu. It is important to stay in communication with us when your child needs to miss class.  We want to make sure your student’s absences are excused and they can get their assignments from their teachers.
