Happy New Year! We are 14 weeks away from state testing. As we prepare for SBAC, strong grades are important. All final grades will be posted Friday, January 26th. A MINIMUM DAY marks the END OF THE 2ND QUARTER with a 12:15 PM dismissal time.

Signs of Suicide Awareness Presentations

Good evening Families of Fern Bacon Middle School. This is Mrs. Coronado calling to let you know that a very important notice went home with your child today during 6th period. In accordance to state law, AB 2246, our school counselors will be educating all students on suicide awareness and prevention. The goal is to teach students that they can help themselves or a friend by simply talking to a responsible adult. If you are in support of this program, you do not need to do anything.
Construction @ Fern Bacon

This is Ms. Coronado calling with a very important message regarding the construction in front of Fern Bacon. We were notified last Wednesday that the construction would begin today, Monday, September 25th. In efforts to limit noise during the school day, we’ve asked them to work over the weekends as much as possible. Please know the only DROP OFF and PICK UP student area is now in the front of Fern Bacon. For safety reasons, all other entrances have been closed including the Staff Parking lot gate. At this time, only staff may park in the Staff Parking Lot.

This meeting is coupled with ELAC which begins at 2:45 PM in the Fern Bacon Library. We will be discussing our Parent Engagement Policy and welcome your input. All parents are welcome to attend.

This is Ms. Coronado, Principal, hoping you had a wonderful winter break. School resumes tomorrow with the first bell at 8:10 AM. Please help your child be on time. For every minute your child is tardy, it takes away from a 53 minute period. Our goal is 314 minutes of high quality instruction daily to meet academic standards on state testing. We will practice a LOCKDOWN on this day as we do every end of quarter to ensure school safety.
