1. First, all students at Fern Bacon Middle School will be testing in English Language Arts on Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13. Please be on time. Check our website for our school-wide testing calendar, bell schedule, and more. Thank you for your support of your child during this statewide testing period.

This is a reminder of our MINIMUM DAY this Friday, April 8th.  Dismissal time is 12:15 PM.  There will be a Grab and Go lunch at this time and no supervision after 12:45 PM. Thank you for picking your child up on time.

District leaders have again continued to work throughout the day on behalf of our children to reach agreements to bring our students back to school.  At this time, we do not have any additional updates.  You can visit the district website for more information on negotiations, including the most recent proposals and counterproposals with our labor partners.

Please expect communication from the district later this evening to confirm whether or not we are able to safely open our schools tomorrow.

Dear Families of Fern Bacon Middle School,

This is Mrs. Coronado with a Covid update. As you know, Covid rates are decreasing. We’ve not had a Covid positive case since 2/07/22. This week we’ve had two (2) individuals test positive in the following classrooms:

Mrs. Cook, 1st Period Science 7/8

Mrs. Kirkland, 2nd Period PE 7/8

Mr. Hart, 3rd Period Math 7/8

Mrs. Cook, 4th Period Math Skills 7/8

Mrs. Bahramzi, 5th/6th Periods ELA/Social Science 7/8

Mr. Jackson, 1st Period PE 7/8

Good evening. This is Fern Bacon with a very important announcement regarding the Covid vaccine.  Today is the deadline for all students to report their VACCINATION STATUS. The vaccine mandate is asking ALL FAMILIES to report their vaccine status by today, November 30th. You must respond with a YES or NO.  Either response requires parent action.  Please visit our website for all the links and more vaccine information on this mandate.    

Good evening families of Fern Bacon Middle School.  This is Mrs. Coronado with a very important message from our School Board.  Please take a minute to listen. Earlier this week it was decided to use the 3 foot physical distancing guidelines which can expand in-person learning to 4 days a week for schools that have classroom space.  At this time, we at Fern Bacon are able to offer all students who are currently doing 2 days a week of in-person learning to 4 days a week, Tuesday thru Friday.
