COVID EXPOSURE NOTICE TO FERN BACON MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILIES

Dear Parent / Guardian of Fern Bacon Middle School,

You are receiving this message to inform you that we’ve had one (1) student test positive for Covid in classroom(s) listed below: 

Ms. McDonald, 1st / 2nd Periods, ELA and History 7

Mrs. Wenell, 3rd Period, Leadership 7/8

Mrs. Carr, 4th Period, Science 7

Mrs. Licon, 5th Period, Math 7

Mr. Jackson, 6th Period, PE 7/8

The health and safety of our students, staff and community are our top priority. This notice is to inform you that an individual in your student’s classroom has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the high volume of cases SCUSD is currently experiencing, all school exposures are being considered potential close contacts and are required to meet the quarantine guidelines listed below.

Date of positive test reported: Wednesday, April 20, 2022

Below are the available options for this close contact exposure at school:

If you have no symptoms, you are not required to quarantine.  Please follow these recommendations:

~You should wear a mask for 10 days after your last exposure date.

~You should test 3-5 days after your last exposure.*  

*You may access free testing at these sites: 

Serna Center: Monday – Thursday from 10am-4pm, Friday from 10am-3pm

Albert Einstein Middle School: Monday – Friday from 4pm-7pm

2401 Florin Road: Monday – Friday from 10am-6pm

If you develop any symptoms regardless of vaccination status or test positive stay home and get a Covid test.  Notify us immediately at (916) 395-5340 you have tested positive.  

If you are not yet vaccinated please get vaccinated to protect yourself and others.  You can get a FREE VACCINE at Serna Center on Fridays from 4-6 pm.  Register at www.https/myturn.gov  or drop in.
