PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATES:  DECEMBER 20, 2022, JANUARY 30, FEBRUARY 21, MARCH 21, 2023

This notice is to inform you of an opportunity to participate in the Fern Bacon Middle School Site Council (SSC) in collaboration with our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC).  This form is designed to collect names of parents / members of the community interested in running for SSC / ELAC 2022-2023.   

The SSC / ELAC is a balanced committee made up of the principal, staff members, parents and or community members and students (at the secondary level).  The SSC / ELAC serves as the school community’s representative body to evaluate the focus of the school’s academic instructional program and all related categorical resources.  The committee also helps to advise the school on the development of The Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). 

Meetings will be held approximately 4 times per year, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Dates are:  October 18, December 20, January 24 and March 21.  If you are interested in being included on the ballot for election to the Fern Bacon School Site Council / English Learner Advisory Committee, please complete the other side of this notice, and return to the school office by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2022.
