PARENTS ARE ALSO WELCOME TO COME BY THE SCHOOL TO OBTAIN AN OPT-OUT LETTER, SIGN AND RECEIVE A COPY FOR YOUR RECORDS.

Thank you to all the families who have taken the time to fill out the following LCFF form. This helps our school maximize our district funding. In 2018-2019 we had 93% of our families complete this form. Last year we only had 88% of our families complete this form and as a result of -5% of parents not turning in the form, we lost $40,000. Currently, we have received only 55% of these forms and in danger of losing much more funding.
HIGH SCHOOL SPECIALTY APPLICATION INFORMATION FOR 2021-2022
Online Application Goes Live Nov. 16, 2020-Dec. 17, 2020 for the Academic School Year 2021-2022
The High School Specialty Program Application is an opportunity for any 8TH GRADE student who resides permanently within the boundaries of the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) to apply for enrollment in a SCUSD high school specialty program, based on space availability for the 2021-2022 school year. SCUSD offers specialty programs at both our neighborhood and small specialized high schools.

NEW STUDENT ENROLLING AT FERN BACON MIDDLE SCHOOL?
All enrollment for our school district is completed at the ENROLLMENT CENTER. Unfortunately, their doors are closed due to COVID-19 but can be reached online.
Permit Transfer Requests for the 2020-2021 School Year
The Enrollment Center is no longer accepting Intra and Inter-district Permits for the 2020-2021 School Year. The deadline to submit was May 1, 2020 at 5:00pm. Due to the COVID-19 issue their response times may extend into the month of June.

PE CLOTHES PICK UP
LATEST COMMUNICATION AS OF WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3RD
The end of the school year is quickly approaching and I want to provide you with information regarding the PICK-UP of PE clothes and at the same time, the DROP-OFF of any school materials to be held in our STAFF PARKING LOT during various dates below. We will be utilizing a DRIVE-THROUGH process, just like we did for the computers. To help the flow of traffic, please bring your student / parent ID card.

DEADLINE: FRIDAY, MAY 1ST
Any 8th grade student who is interested in a high school THAT IS NOT THEIR HOME SCHOOL, can apply via permit now. Deadline is Friday, May 1st. Students and families MUST APPLY ONLINE. No walk-ins. This is NOT FOR STUDENTS who have been ACCEPTED to a high school Specialty Program. This is only for students who wish to CHANGE their home school.
Don’t assume you know which high school is your home high school. Do your research! Type in your address into the School Locator to find out!
