WHY TWO (2) FREE COVID TESTS???
Two (2) free Covid-19 tests have been sent home with students. We would like students to test at home before returning to Fern Bacon from Winter Break. Directions include:
The 1st test is taken (3) days before returning to the school.
The 2nd test is taken (1) day before returning to school.
You may submit your results online or call (650) 275-5419. You may also register for weekly testing here. All this information and more can be found on our website.

THE APPLICATION PERIOD IS NOW CLOSED. The next window to apply for a permit is in May 2022.

LCFF funding stands for Local Control Funding Form which is a form the district uses to collect parent income information to calculate school funding. We received $183,000 last year which we use for tutoring and supplemental materials.

I am pleased to inform you that the Sacramento City Unified School Board has approved the school attendance calendar for the 2021-2022 school year. The Fall semester will start on Thursday, September 2, and at that time we will Return Together with full in-person learning on all campuses.

Sac City Unified is preparing to reopen schools and is requesting that each family select how you plan to return to school for the remainder of the school. Please take a minute to make a choice. There are two options families may choose.
The 1st CHOICE is if you wish your child to return to In-Person learning for two days a week at school in combination with 3 days of Distance Learning.

Thank you to all the families who have taken the time to fill out the following LCFF form. This helps our school maximize our district funding. In 2018-2019 we had 93% of our families complete this form. Last year we only had 88% of our families complete this form and as a result of -5% of parents not turning in the form, we lost $40,000. Currently, we have received only 55% of these forms and in danger of losing much more funding.
